Tag Rugby

Year 3 travelled to Victoria Park to take part in Warrington Wolves's Tag Rugby Festival. The Blackbird class was split up into two teams. One team won 6/6 of their games and the other team won 3 and drew 3. A fantastic showcase of the tag rugby talent here at St Monica's. The class worked so well as a team, showed amazing resilience and lots of sportsmanship. An incredible effort from everyone. A big thank you to all the parent volunteers, as the day would not have run as smoothly as it did without you. In addition, thank you to Warrington Wolves, especially Coach Emily, for the very engaging and effective sessions over the last 5 weeks that truly prepared year 3 for an amazing tournament. Year 3 have truly enjoyed their Tag Rugby topic during PE and many of us believe that we have some Warrington Wolves future star athletes at our school.
